Artist Information

Eligibility

Open to all artists 18 years or older. Artists are chosen for participation by a selection committee. The committee reserves the right to review, and approve or refuse, all works presented for consideration. Artists must exhibit during the entire show. Failure to follow this rule makes artists ineligible for awards and admissions to future shows.

Judge Information

Brett M. Levine is the Director of the Visual Arts Gallery of the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He holds a Master of Arts in Arts Administration from the College of Fine Arts, University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia. He is the former Team Leader, Collection Programs, at the Dowse Art Museum, Wellington, New Zealand, and the former Director of Lopdell House Gallery in Auckland, New Zealand. Over the past decade, he has curated photography exhibitions by Jane Hammond, Joyce Tenneson, and John Waters, among others, as well as painting exhibitions by Guido Molinari and John Bankston. He has written for numerous publications, including Art Papers, Object, Art New Zealand, The New Zealand Journal of Photography and Urbis, and he has presented at the Society for Photographic Education's annual conference as well as the College Art Association conference. He lives and works in Birmingham.

Jury Fee $30 (non-refundable), plus $30 for each additional medium
Booth Fee $225

(1) VIP Party ticket Saturday night, for all participating artists. Juried awards will be presented during this time.

Media

All Media accepted : Clay, Drawing, Pastel, Fiber, Furniture, Glass, Jewelry, Metalworks, 2D Mixed Media, 3D Mixed Media, Oil & Acrylic Painting, Photography, Printmaking/Graphics, Sculpture, Watercolor, Wood. Artists shall only exhibit work typified by submitted images.

Sales

Each artist is responsible for their own transactions. Transactions must include 7 ½ % sales tax.
